WiFi technology may cause a major handicap for men hoping to build a family: sperm damage.
A team of Argentine scientists led by Conrado Avendano of the Nascentis Center for Reproductive Medicine in Cordoba found that placing drops of semen from healthy men under a laptop connected wirelessly to the Internet kills or maims the little swimmers.
The scientists reported their findings this month in the medical journal Fertility and Sterility.
After four hours next to the WiFi-connected computer, 25% of the sperm had stopped moving and nine percent showed DNA damage.
By comparison, semen kept at the same temperature but away from the computer showed just a 14% drop in mobility and only 3% suffered DNA damage.
Semen placed under the computer without the WiFi connected did not experience significant levels of sperm damage, the study says.
Avendano blames the discrepancy on the electromagnetic radiation emitted by wireless communication.
"Our data suggest that the use of a laptop computer wirelessly connected to the Internet and positioned near the male reproductive organs may decrease human sperm quality," Avendano and his team wrote in this month's article, Reuters reports.
The study is not the first to sound an alarm over the potential of mobile communications technology to undermine sperm health.
A Canadian study reported last year also found evidence indicating that wireless radiation caused DNA damage in sperm.
Computers also wreck havoc on semen just by being hot.
A 2004 American study found that placing a portable computer on the user's lap could boost scrotum temperature by nearly three degrees. Scientists have established that heat damages sperm.

When a couple goes on Maury aka the most electrifying daytime talk show on television to prove who's the father of a baby, it's usually a sordid tale of lying, cheating and deceit. But no story can ever get better than this: Joe, the alleged baby daddy, accuses Tom from freaking MySpace of being the real father of his girlfriend's baby because Tom was her very first friend on MySpace.
Joe thinks Tom is his girlfriend's "special friend", which combined with the baby's light complexion and blue eyes and the fact that Tom was the first and only white guy on his girlfriend's friend list and the fact that Joe has a few screws loose in his head, well, makes the answer obvious to Joe. Tom is the baby daddy. The hijinks in the video are RIDICULOUS.
Ah, a modern day love triangle. I wonder how many other relationships Tom from MySpace has digitally ruined.
Former New York Giants superstar Lawrence Taylor was slammed Monday with a federal sex trafficking lawsuit filed by the girl who was forced to prostitute herself to the NFL Hall of Famer in an upstate New York motel room last year.
The scathing suit accuses Taylor — who earlier this year pleaded guilty in a related criminal case — of ignoring the bruises on the face of then-16-year-old Cristina Fierro, who arrived at his motel room in Suffern, N.Y., after being beaten by a pimp to force her to visit the legendary linebacker.
According to the suit, Taylor then "attempted to engage in various sexual acts with Ms. Fierro, including forcing himself onto Ms. Fierro without a condom" during the May 6, 2010 incident.
The lawsuit, filed in Manhattan federal court, alleges Taylor "forced himself" on a "slight teenager who was not only visibly injured, shaken and crying, but expressly told him she did not want to engage in sex and tried to push his enormous body off hers."
Taylor then "handed her $300," according to the court filing.
The lawsuit seeks monetary damages for Fierro — who has publicly outed herself in the case — in excess of $75,000.
Taylor, 52, was initially criminally charged with statutory rape in the incident, but pleaded guilty in March to sexual misconduct and patronizing a prostitute. The former Giants great, who now lives in Florida, was sentenced to six years probation.
The pimp who beat Fierro, convicted killer Rasheed Davis, in August was sentenced to seven years in prison by a federal judge.
Fierro, now 18, is being represented in her civil suit by high-profile lawyer Gloria Allred, who excoriated Taylor at a press conference after his criminal sentence this year in Rockland County court. Allred and Fierro are scheduled to give another press conference on the new civil case Monday.
Taylor's spokesman and lawyer could not be immediately reached for comment.
Bow Wow is all grown up now, but just because he's a lil older ... doesn't mean he's learned how to pay off Uncle Sam -- he owes almost six figures in back taxes, this according to court documents.
A tax lien filed in Florida by the federal government says the rapper, real name Shad Gregory Moss, owes the government $91,105.61 for unpaid taxes from the year 2006.

Former Bad Boy Records rap star Loon was arrested in Brussels, Belgium, after he was allegedly indicted for heroin trafficking charges in the United States.
Sources stated the rapper was arrested on November 22 at the Brussels Airport.
According to local paper Parlamento, Belgium officials invoked the Patriot Act to arrest the rapper, whose real name is Chauncey Hawkins.
Loon, who now goes by Amir Junaid Muhadith, was heading to Brussels for a lecture at the Islamic and Cultural Centre of Belgium when he was apprehended.
The rapper, who hit big with singles like “I Need A Girl Pt. 1″ and “Down For Me,” gave up rap in 2008 and converted to Islam.
Loon is currently being held at a prison in Vorst.

David Banner's lengthy career has been filled with hit songs and platinum records, but he seems a little apprehensive about the current state of hip-hop and new artists.
In a recent interview Banner dished on how he felt the current state of hip-hop was fairing, and it seems in his eyes it needs a makeover.
"I think what ends up happening is we didn't do what we were supposed to do. Kids are either a reflection of what you did or didn't do. But the problem is, now, they are getting to an age where you have to be responsible for what you do now because you're a man," Banner said in an interview. "The problem is, there's no balance. I think a lot of the backpack rappers, they rap they a** off, but n*gga, your beat's wack. You rapping, but n*gga, you can't make a hit song. You can freestyle your a** off but you can't make a hit song. Then you got n*ggas who can make hit songs that can't f*cking rap. You got R&B singers that can't f*cking sing. Anything that's talented and that you're supposed to pay for, it's supposed to be something that everybody can't do. One of the reasons why rap is dying, because everybody feel they can do it. People don't go to a Chris Brown concert thinking they can outdance Chris Brown. They already know they can't."
Do you agree?
A woman desperate to look like Jessica Rabbit has won the dubious honour of being in possession of the world's biggest lips after having 100 silicone injections.
Kristina Rei, 22, was convinced her thin lips made her ugly so she opted to have them enlarged in the style of her favourite cartoon character, at a cost of more than £4,000.
Now the nail technician admits she has an addiction, but still plans to have her so-called trout pout made even more outrageous.
Each injection costs roughly £40 and is 'extremely painful' but Kristina, from St Petersburg, Russia, insists nothing will stop her.
She said: 'I think I look fantastic and it makes me happy. Sometimes strangers shout names at me in the street - like big lips - but I don't care.
'I want to go more extreme. I want to look like a cartoon character. I am addicted to it. I love it.'
Kristina said she always believed her lips were too small and used to compare them to those around her.
She said: 'My older sister Ira had beautiful, full lips and I loved Jessica Rabbit's huge lips. She was my idea of the perfect woman.
'From the age of four I thought my lips seemed thinner than everyone else's and I decided when I was quite young to get them enhanced.
'In Russia, you see adverts for silicone and Botox on TV all the time.'
At school Kristina was bullied because of her looks. She said: 'My classmates called me "ugly". They didn't tease me because of my lips specifically - but I believed big, full lips would make me beautiful.'
At the age of 17, Kristina went to a local beauty parlour for her first lip injection.
She said: 'The first one was extremely painful but I loved the result. I knew it was going to take a lot more injections before I had the sort of lips I wanted.
'After that I started having them regularly - the beauticians never seem to be surprised when I turn up for more injections.'
Kristina, who is single, recently reduced the frequency of the injections to once every few months.
She said: 'My big lips have helped boost my confidence. Even my parents are happy for me. They really don't care about my appearance. Some of my friends have told me I shouldn't go any bigger but I'm not satisfied yet.'
Despite constant staring from strangers, Kristina, who has never had a boyfriend, loves her bizarre appearance.
She said: 'I know some people think I look ridiculous but I don't care.
'Sometimes I like the attention I get like when people try to film me on their mobile phones. Some of the abuse has been hurtful - I've been told I look like a man but those people are idiots.'
Kristina insists she can eat, speak and kiss just the same as before and hasn't suffered any painful after-effects.
She said: 'Each injection hurts as much as the last. Fortunately I've never suffered with an infection or painful lips afterwards.'
She said: 'Other than the way I look my lips haven't had a big impact on my life so I'm definitely not going to stop now.
'I have no health concerns about what I'm doing. Nothing has gone wrong so far. I haven't decided how big yet but they are definitely too small at the moment.'
She is so happy with the modification that she is planning to go further and have surgery in the future.
She said: 'When I can afford it I want to enlarge my breasts from a C-cup to a DD, change the shape of my nose and I want to make my ears pointed like an elf. It's good to be different.'
Former Cash Money Records rapper BG will stand trial for gun and obstruction of justice charges early next month.
BG, born Christopher Dorsey, was arrested in November of 2009, after police stopped him in a stolen Chevy Tahoe on November.
A search of the vehicle uncovered three guns and two loaded magazines and two extended clips, resulting in charges for BG and the vehicle’s two other occupants.
In May of 2011, prosecutors charged BG, Fedison and a third man named Demounde Pollard, with conspiracy.
Earlier this week one of the three men, 29-year-old Jerod Fedison, was sentenced to 22 years in prison for the incident.
BG and Fedison are accused of attempting to coerce Pollard into taking the blame for possession of all three guns.
Of the three men, Pollard, who was 17 at the time of his arrest, was the only one without a criminal record.
Prosecutors claim they caught Fedison on a recorded call from prison, instructing Pollard’s girlfriend to take the charges the importance of the issue.
Pollard eventually agreed to take the charges, but he later began cooperating with authorities.
He is currently serving 30 months in prison.
BG is a convicted felon who has been arrested multiple times over the years.
The rapper, who has a lenghy rap sheet for drugs and other charges, will stand trial on December 12.

On a macro level, the NBA lockout really isn’t going to hurt cities much. Studies show the money you would have spent on NBA tickets you will spend on movies, dinners, maybe seeing a hockey game. It still gets spent and the city still benefits.
But on a micro level people will get hurt — people who work in the arenas, the guy who bartends at the pub across the street from the arena, hotels where NBA teams stay…
And escort services.
CNBC’s Darren Rovell took a look at the pains of some small businesses and added this about the ladies of the night.
A 30 percent decline seems to be the magic number, even for Henry, who runs an escort service in New York that he says charges between $400 and $4,000 an hour, depending on the woman.
Henry says he takes between 65 and 80 percent of the total cut to match the players and other high-profile fans, who are with the client an average of four hours.
“There are replacements but they aren’t as consistent and not nearly as high paying,” Henry said.
There are players who prefer paid professional escorts to the many groupies that follow teams around because the pros are discrete and go away quietly when it’s over. There are no Internet postings or stories among friends. Discretion matters.

A suburban teacher was released on bail Wednesday night, after allegedly confessing to fondling himself in class.
Paul LaDuke, 75, was fired from Schaumburg Christian School on Friday, after a student reported to another teacher that LaDuke appeared to be masturbating while seated at his podium during class.
LaDuke was arrested on Monday and charged Tuesday with felony sexual exploitation of a child. His bond was set at $40,000 at a hearing at the Rolling Meadows courthouse on Wednesday and he posted the required 10 percent bail Wednesday evening.
“I don’t want to say anything,” LaDuke said after posting bail and being released from Cook County Jail, where he searched for his wife, who had come to pick him up.
Prosecutors said LaDuke admitted to the act and Schaumburg police said he might have been doing it for the past 10 years or more.
But his defense attorney said LaDuke might be suffering from dementia and just repeated the allegations detectives had leveled at him during questioning.
Cook County Assistant State’s Attorney Dave Weiner told the judge that prosecutors have a handwritten note from LaDuke, in which he admits to fantasizing about female students while masturbating in class for the past 10 years. On Friday, LaDuke admitted he masturbated before the 13 students while an apron was draped over his lap, and that it was far from the first time, Weiner said.
On Sunday, December 4th at midnight, MTV2 will be airing a 30-minute special called “Yo! MTV Raps Classic Cuts,” following the airing of the channel’s Sucker Free Awards show.
The retrospective episode will feature hosts Ed Lover, Dr. Dre, and Fab 5 Freddy, as well as artists like Ice Cube, Busta Rhymes, The Roots’ ?uestlove, Wiz Khalifa, Ali Shaheed Muhammad, Fat Joe and DJ Premier, who will be remixing the show’s theme song.
When asked about the new special, former host Fab 5 Freddy said the show will take viewers back to a bygone era in hip-hop.
“In this Classic Cuts special, people will go back to a seminal time in hip-hop which many have called the ‘Golden Era’ – resulting in records that are as meaningful today as they were back then,” Fab 5 Freddy said. “In order to appreciate how far hip-hop has come, you have to pay respect to the songs and artists that helped catapult the genre from a small community of fans to world domination.”
Ed Lover, one of “Yo! MTV Raps’” other hosts, couldn’t be happier with the announcement.
“It’s a great moment to be re-connected with Yo! and examine the music that had a role in introducing hip-hop to music lovers globally,” Ed Lover said.
Yo! MTV Raps has often been credited as one of the sole mainstream influences that introduced Hip-Hop on a national level to households, through television.
The show, which aired on MTV between 1988 and 1995, introduced artists and acts like N.W.A., Wu-Tang Clan, Public Enemy, Ice-T, and more to viewers and potential music consumers across the country.
As Wheeling police search for an attempted robbery suspect, detectives released surveillance video that they hope will help someone identify the criminal.
Police said on Monday afternoon, a white, scruffy-looking man passed a teller at Main Street Bank a note demanding cash. They said the teller couldn't make sense of the note and asked the suspect if it was a joke.
"It took her a little while to realize the individual was demanding money through this note. When she passed the note back to him, he became frustrated and left the bank," said Police Chief Robert Matheny.
Bank officials said no one was hurt. Police said the man did not threaten the teller or mention a weapon. He also did not get away with any cash.
Police said the man drove away in a grayish color four-door sedan that was parked nearby Main Street Bank's location in Center Wheeling. There are several more shots of the small car, which police said has no front license plate and may have right front-end damage.
Based on the surveillance footage, police are looking for a white man, about 6-feet tall, who was wearing a blue hat, a long-sleeved white shirt and blue jeans. Officers continue to work on the case, but are also looking for help from the public.

Julien's Auctions is holding a live auction featuring items from the deceased King of Pop's former Holmby Hills residence next month. Among the many items up for bid? The bed that Jackson died in at the age of 50 on June 25, 2009, TMZ reports.
Also read: Why Conrad Murray's Guilty Verdict Doesn't Bring Closure
Hopefully, the bed's been changed -- and possibly exorcised -- in the ensuing two and a half years.
Also going on the block at the auction, which will be held at Jackson's former home Dec. 17: artwork by the likes of Maurice Utrillo, Ludolf Bakhuysen and Abraham Hulk; George Smith-upholstered sofas; and "a fancy burlwood Victorian Revival Style armoire."
One person who's not likely to be in attendance at the auction: Jackson's former physician, Conrad Murray, who on Monday was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter after administering propofol to the singer in that very same bed. Murray, who was denied bail, is currently awaiting sentencing on Nov. 29.
For those who can't scrape up a few grand to purchase the bone-chilling piece of show-biz memorabilia, the items will be on display free to the public at the Julien's Auctions gallery in Beverly Hills beginning Dec. 12.

A 10-year-old Mexican girl has given birth to a baby boy after a 31-week pregnancy, according to reports.
The premature infant, which weighed 3.3 pounds, was born by Caesarian section at the Women’s Hospital in the city of Puebla and is in the intensive care unit recovering from pneumonia.
The young mother, who is from the nearby San Francisco Totimehuacan community, has returned home after the procedure but visits the baby every day to breastfeed, officials said.
The Puebla state Attorney General's Office is now investigating whether the girl could have been raped and who the father is, the hospital’s director Rogelio Gonzalez said, according to UpFrontNewswire.
Mexican state laws say young moms are unable to have abortions unless a girl can prove she was the victim of sexual assault.
The state’s minimum age of consent is 12 and women who undergo abortions in Puebla face a fine or prison sentence if they are unable to prove they were sexually abused.
The laws are currently under review.
The girl, who has not been named, arrived at the medical facility on Oct. 22, suffering from life-threatening complications, including seizures.
Hospital officials said the newborn is in a good condition considering his premature birth and the mother is recovering well.
This is not the first case of a shockingly young girl giving birth in Mexico.
In August last year, 11-year-old Amalia had a child two weeks premature after she was denied an abortion by the local Justice Department during the fourth month of pregnancy.
She was raped repeatedly by her stepfather when she was 10 years old, but local laws do not allow terminations after three months.

It appears Republican presidential hopeful Herman Cain has quite a way with women. Or not. Today (October 7), a fourth woman has come forth with sexual harassment allegation against the GOP front-runner.
The unidentified woman will reportedly detail incidents of Cain's inappropriate sexual behavior. Three other woman have already come forth alleging sexual misconduct against the former Godfather Pizza CEO.
Cain has denied wrongdoing in the cases, claiming that this is an attack on his character during one of his most vulnerable moments.
Two weeks ago it was disclosed that two women reportedly received financial settlements from the National Restaurant Association after accusing Cain of sexually inappropriate behavior. He was the head of the NRA at the time.
A third woman revealed to The Associated Press last week that she nearly filed a workplace c
A jury in the Michael Jackson case ended deliberations today (November 7) and has reached a verdict in the trial of Dr. Conrad Murray.
The jury, which consisted of seven men and five women, found Dr. Conrad Murray, 58, guilty of involuntary manslaughter for his role in the death of Michael Jackson.
Michael Jackson died on June 25, 2009 from a drug overdose of the anesthetic Propofol, along with a cocktail of other lethal prescription drugs.
The jury delivered their verdict from the Los Angeles County Superior Courthouse, just two days after beginning their deliberations, which began on Friday (November 3).
Dr. Conrad Murray was hired by Michael Jackson and AEG Live, to be the singer’s personal physician during his “This Is It” comeback tour.
Dr. Murray, who was paid $150,000 per month to look after Michael Jackson, had pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter and gross negligence.
Ed Chernoff, the lawyer for Dr. Murray claimed that Michael Jackson had given himself the fatal dose of propofol when Dr. Murray stepped out of the room, to take a phone call.
Prosecutors David Walgren and Deborah Brazil successfully convinced jurors that Dr. Murray was criminally negligent in administering sedatives to Michael Jackson, resulting in the 50-year-old popstar’s death.
Michael Jackson’s mother, Katherine, is suing AEG for wrongful death.
The family claims that Michael Jackson ultimately succumbed to pressure placed on him by AEG Live to produce the series of come back concerts, due to contractual obligations the singer had with the company.
According to reports, Jackson who was allegedly almost $400 million in debt and would have lost up to $30 million had he not done the “This Is It,” tour, which was funded entirely by AEG Live.
According to reports, the Jackson family believes that AEG Live pressured Michael into 19 more shows, on top of the 31 his contract originally called for.
AEG Live has denied claims and claimed they even threatened to cancel the concert, due to Michael Jackson’s erratic behavior and his repeated absences from rehearsal.
Dr. Conrad Murray had personally vouched for Michael Jackson’s health in an email sent to concert insurance agents inquiring about the singers health, just hours before Michael Jackson died from a fatal drug overdose.
Dr. Conrad Murray faces up to four years in prison.

It's about time. For far too long we've known about the crooked Rockefeller Drug Laws where charges for crack outweigh those charges for cocaine thus sending more Black people to jail (high users/dealers of crack) than white people who tend to be able to afford the pure white.
CNN reports that thousands of prison inmates convicted of crack cocaine charges will be released early due to sentencing changes easing the disparity between the penalties for possessing or distributing crack vs. powder cocaine.

If Terrell Owens biggest problem was the fact he couldnt find a job, life would be grand. But now hes got bigger problems than his unemployment.
As TMZ reports, a California judge has issued an arrest warrant for Owens after he failed to show up for a child support hearing.
We told you a few days ago that Owens had asked to reduce his child support payments, because hes not making as much money today as he was before. Therefore, he cant pay as much in child support. Or none at all, as Monique Reynolds, who is taking Owens to court for back payments, claims in court.
Owens PR rep: he did NOT try to commit suicide
Rosenhaus: No NFL teams have called
Casserly on Owens: I wouldnt sign him
TO could have money problems
Owens apparently knew he was not going to show up for his court appearance -- it was right around the time of his workout in which zero NFL teams showed up to watch -- and he apparently tried to reschedule, but Reynolds representation refused.
And if Owens thought he could catch on with an NFL team in order to earn some money, Bengals safety Chris Crocker, Owens former teammate, said he can understand why nobody seems interested.
When we talk about how perception is reality, the perception around the league is that hes a bad locker room guy and a bad teammate, Crocker said in this weeks Five Questions (or more). Organizations dont want to bring that dynamic in the locker room, especially with him 37 or 38 years old. I just dont think people are willing to do it. Im not saying hes a bad teammate, but he was called one when he was in San Fran, in Philly, in Dallas. Its like a circus. Teams just dont want to go that route. You bring him in, and you bring in all the stuff that goes with it.
Hopefully, all that stuff doesnt include becoming a deadbeat dad.
