40 Glocc Sues Game Over Assault

40 Glocc has filed a lawsuit against Game over an altercation that took place in June, in which Game and his crew of 15 men allegedly attacked 40 Glocc. The whole altercation was caught on Game's iPhone, which was later uploaded to YouTube with the title, "The Game Beats Up 40 Glocc Whilst Recording on iPhone Full Video." 40 Glocc insists that the video doesn't tell the whole story of what went down, and claims that Game aimed a gun at him and shouted, "Freeze or I'ma shoot, n*gga." 40 then says that he tried to run away from Game, who caught up to him and allegedly told 40 not to fight back. In documents obtained by TMZ, 40 Glocc says he obliged to Game's request and suffered major injuries to his right eye, ribs, kidneys, right shoulder and back. 40 Glocc is suing Game for unspecified damages, but TMZ predicts that he's wanting millions due to the injuries suffered in the fight and his thug persona being damaged, as he was portrayed as a coward in the video. Sources close to Game are insisting it was a one-on-one fight, and say that he never pulled a gun on 40 Glocc. Source: TMZ

Lil Reese Apologizes To The Woman He Attacked On tape

GBE member Lil Reese issued an apology for attacking Chicago woman Tiairah Marie via his Twitter last night. The video was apparently rather old, possibly as dated as a year ago or more. When the tape went viral online, Reese didn't initially apologize. Instead, he targeted "haters" for trying to bring him down. Now, Reese has finally found it in his heart to let everyone know he's sorry. "Everybody makes mistakes I was out of character & I've grown since then," tweeted Reese. "Don't judge me for my past I can admit my wrongs and I apologize. #3hunna." It's encouraging that Lil Reese has apologized, and hopefully he has truly learned a lesson.

Singer Bobby Brown was driving without a court-ordered dashboard Breathalyzer when he was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence early Wednesday, prosecutors said. The Los Angeles City Attorney's Office made the claim as it officially charged the New Edition singer with multiple DUI counts Thursday. The first count claims Brown was driving under the influence with a prior conviction when he was pulled over in Tarzana, Calif, around 1 a.m. Wednesday and refused to take a chemical test, the Los Angeles City Attorney said. That charge carries six days to a year in jail and up to a $1,000 fine. Prosecutors also say Brown was driving on a restricted license and that he ignored a judge's order to drive only vehicles with alcohol-monitoring ignition interlock devices. Such devices require a breath test before drivers can start the engine. The second and third counts carry maximum jail terms of six months each and the possibility of $6,000 in combined fines. The "My Prerogative" singer, formerly married to the late pop icon Whitney Houston, was pulled over Wednesday for a traffic violation and failed his filed sobriety test, cops told the Daily News. "Based on the officer's observations, he was arrested and booked for driving under the influence," Sgt. Pablo Monterrosa with the Los Angeles Police Department told The News. "He was cooperative." Brown, 43, is currently serving three years’ probation after pleading no contest to another DUI charge earlier this year. He was popped in March for talking on his cellphone while driving and smelled of alcohol, police said. He checked into rehab in August after marrying his manager, Alicia Etheridge, in Hawaii in June. "Mr. Brown takes his agreement very seriously and admitted himself three weeks after concluding his honeymoon in Mexico during a break from the New Edition tour," his attorney Christopher Brown said in a release at the time. "Bobby is doing well and receiving services that comply with his agreement with the State of California." The March DUI was just days after officials revealed Houston had cocaine in her system when she accidentally drowned in a hotel bathtub Feb. 11. Brown's turbulent 14-year marriage with Houston weathered allegations of drug use and physical abuse – drama depicted on the reality show "Being Bobby Brown." Brown was arrested for drunken driving in Florida in 1996 and sentenced to five days behind bars for crashing Houston's Porsche with a blood-alcohol level nearly three times the legal limit. He served more jail time in 2000 after a court-ordered drug test showed traces of cocaine. Brown is due in court Nov. 16 for arraignment on the new DUI charges. If a judge decides he violated his probation with this week's arrest, he could face up to six months in jail on that and up to $610 in fines, prosecutors told The News.

Lil Wayne has a SECOND Seizure on flight

Lil Wayne almost phoned home yesterday after what was described as seizure like symptoms aboard his private jet. The small plane landed in Texas and the rapper was examined at a local hospital then later released. Now TMZ reports that much like Rick Ross's health scare, Tunechi hopped on a plane from Texas heading to Los Angeles but started convulsing which grounded the private jet again. Mr. Carter is now checked into a local hospital in Louisana. More on this as it comes.

NYPD SAYS THEY KNOW WHO MURDERED JAM MASTER JAY!

Hip-hop pioneers Run-DMC are back on tour — their first without the backbeat of the group, DJ Jam Master Jay, the victim of an unsolved slaying shrouded in mystery and lack of cooperation by witnesses. The platinum-selling band — which brought hip-hop to the mainstream with hits like “It’s Tricky,” “King of Rock” and a remake of Aerosmith’s “Walk This Way” — kicked off a tour last month even as the NYPD remains frustrated the 2002 execution-style rubout of the hip-hop star, whose real name was Jason Mizell, remains stalled 10 years later. “We never really had a good lead,” the case’s head detective, Vincent Santangelo, told the Daily News. “Nobody would or nobody could tell us the who or what. We’re still looking for that person.” Law enforcement sources, who at one time worked the case, said the people inside Mizell's 24/7 recording studio provided a play-by-play account of the Oct. 30, 2002 murder — but everyone stopped short in identifying the gunman or his sidekick. The 37-year-old turntable wizard — who stayed anchored near the hardscrabble Hollis neighborhood where he grew up — arrived at the studio just hours before the killing. After packing some equipment for a show in Philadelphia the next day, Mizell got a bite to eat and took a seat on a couch at the rear of the studio. His pal, Uriel (Tony) Rincon, sat next to him and the pair began playing a video game. Mizell placed a .45-caliber pistol on the arm rest. A short time later, Mizell's assistant, Lydia High, entered the cramped studio to go over his itinerary. High's brother, Randy Allen - Mizell's longtime pal and business partner - soon came in with two friends, but they shut themselves in the control room at the front of the studio. Everyone had been in the room for less than an hour when a man dressed in black, possibly wearing a hat, stepped in and gave Mizell a hug about 7:30 p.m. But after the short embrace, the man pulled out a .40-caliber handgun. “Oh, s----,” was all a witness heard Mizell say before a shot rang out. The bullet pierced Rincon’s left leg. Then, a second shot hit Mizell in the head, killing him before he hit the floor. The killer and his accomplice, who was standing outside the door, both sprinted out of the two-story building and disappeared. Santangelo, a 22-year vet, and his team spent years chasing scores of leads that sometimes brought him to cities across the country. No arrests have been made, but Santangelo believes that could change with the help of a good tipster — who can collect a $60,000 reward if there's a conviction. But the sources, who spoke to the News last week, said they've already fingered one of Mizell's killers, but making an arrest been hampered by reluctant witnesses and bad press. “We just never had enough to make it stick,” said one of the sources. Investigators suspect career criminal Ronald Washington was either the lookout or the gunman. The hit was likely ordered after Mizell — who owed up to $500,000 to the IRS — refused to settle a decade-old drug debt with his old friend Curtis Scoon, the sources said. Washington — who is serving a 17-year stint for armed robbery — allegedly confessed his role in the killing to a former girlfriend, authorities have said. “She was credible. She was a witness who we vetted,” said one source. “We had enough to bring it to a judge.” High, who allegedly buzzed the killers into Mizell's studio, said Washington was one of the killers, but she later recanted. “She (also) changed her story three or four times after,” another source said. Neither Washington nor Scoon, who now lives in Georgia, was ever charged. “As time goes by, he becomes less and less of a suspect,” said Scoon’s lawyer, Marvyn Kornberg. “He’s moved on with his life.” The open case has left Mizell’s family shattered. “The past 10 years has been really hard,” said the jam master’s brother, Marvin Thompson, 57. “There’s still so many unanswered questions. ... I pray that someone will step up and close this case and give us some peace.” Thompson, too, is convinced that Washington was one of Mizell’s killers. “It’s frustrating,” he said. “But the fact that he’s in jail ... I guess that’s some kind of closure.” Mizell’s 77-year-old mother, Connie Mizell-Perry, said she believes karma will eventually sneak up on the wanted men. Speaking from her North Carolina home, she had one thing to say to the killers: “One of these days, you’re going to think you have it made and someone is going to tap you on the shoulder and say, ‘Gotcha!’” For now, though, the focus is on Run DMC, the revived hip-hop trio, now a duo with no turntables behind their microphones. Partners Darryl (DMC) McDaniels and Joe (Run) Simmons soldier on. “I can’t believe it’s been 10 years since Jay’s death,” McDaniels said in a statement to the Daily News. “That’s crazy. It seems like I just saw him yesterday. “He impacted other people’s lives and that’s the Jay I loved and respected,” McDaniels added. “But spiritually, he’s always with me. His presence is felt as strongly today as it was the night he passed away.”

Faizon Love tells TMZ ... Katt Williams PULLED A GUN ON HIM during a heated argument outside a Hollywood nightclub Tuesday night ... shortly before Katt was cuffed by cops and taken to the station. Love tells TMZ ... he was parking his car near Supperclub, when he saw Katt ... and they got into it over a $50,000 debt Katt allegedly owes him. Faizon continues, "Come to find out the gun he pulled out on me was not even loaded. My homeboy gave it back to him ... then we went in the club.” Minutes later, Williams was arrested for a possible gun violation ... but Love insists he is NOT the person who called the cops. “I am just extremely upset that his punk ass would pull a gun out on me and even play with me like that," Love says ... adding, "He better chill his ass out." Katt was released from custody that night. After being released, Williams told us he did nothing wrong.

BECKETT'S #CHILLTHEFUCKOUTB VIDEO OF THE WEEK

Is O.J. Simpson Trying To Sell The Knife Used To Kill His Ex-Wife?

O.J. Simpson has hit a new low—allegedly. The New York Post reports that Simpson, currently behind bars in Nevada, wants to sell of the weapon used in the murder of ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend, Ron Goldman. A source close to the former football star claims that the 65-year-old wants to sell the knife for $5 million, the profits of which would build a nice little nest egg. “[O.J. is] looking for a strictly cash deal so that the money can be deposited in offshore accounts and can't be traced directly to him,” said the source allegedly told the National Enquirer. The knife is said to be stashed somewhere in the Bahamas, and has been in Simpson's possession ever since the 1995 double murders that divided the nation. “O.J. said he'd reveal the location once a firm deal — for a minimum of $5 million — was reached,”added the insider. If someone were to take the bait, Simpson would find victory in getting over on the justice system, since he was acquitted of the crimes. “It's not just about the money, O.J. will get sick satisfaction from putting one over n the cops and Ron Goldman's family. He'd love to think he's outsmarted them.” Ever since the brutal slayings that took the life of the mother of two of his children, Simpson has claimed innocence, but released the book If I Did It, detailing how he would have killed the couple. In 2008, Simpson was sentenced to 15 years in prison for a botched robbery attempt in which he tried to get back some of his memorabilia, and has filed an appeal in the ruling. Epic Uppercut Throwing Bus Driver & Out Of Pocket Passenger Charged With Misdemeanors

It was the epic uppercut seen, and heard, around the world Internets. Misdemeanor criminal charges were filed today against the male bus driver, Artis Hughes, 59, that 2-pieced a female passenger, Shi'dea "It Hurted" Lane, 25, in Cleveland a month ago. Hughes and Lane were charged with assault and disorderly conduct, respectively, reports The Smoking Gun. Although the incident occurred a month ago to the day (September 18th), the charges weren't filed until today in Shaker Heights Municipal Court, about week after footage of the altercation on the RTA bus went viral. Witnesses told cops that Lane appeared “drunk” and became verbally abusive to Hughes after she failed to immediately pay her fare. Hughes told investigators that he “protected myself” after Lane "grabbed me in the throat and spit on me in the face." Hughes remains suspended without pay from his RTA job, according to an agency spokesperson. He faces a maximum of six months in jail and a $1000 fine if convicted of the assault count. Lane's lesser charge carries a maximum of 30 days in custody and a $250 fine. In a Facebook posting earlier today, Lane (pictured above) wrote, “God iz an awesome god only god can judge me I love u mommys honey bun .” Read more at http://hiphopwired.com/2012/10/18/epic-uppercut-throwing-bus-driver-out-of-pocket-passenger-charged-with-misdemeanors/#Q6WX3sla2FKcTkRf.99

Flavor Flav Accused Of Chasing Girlfriend's Son With Knives & Threatening To Kill Him

Flavor Flav's old man tirade hit the struggle level when he was arrested at his Las Vegas home for assault with a deadly weapon Wednesday (Oct. 17), and now we're finding out the details behind his downward spiral. The 53-year-old New York native was double-fisted with a couple of knives when he ran after his fiancée's son, reports TMZ. Flav, real name William Drayton Jr., allegedly threw his lady love, 39-year-old Elizabeth Trujillo, to the ground and ripped out her earrings (ouch!), before setting his eyes on her son. According to the police report, the teen son jumped in to save his mother before being met with knives of fury. The elderly Public Enemy hypeman also kicked down a locked door to get to the son, before showering him with threats against his life. The whole argument started over accusations that Flav— who is obviously irresistible to the ladies— was being unfaithful. Things got heated, the fiancée ended up on the ground, her son ended up being chased, and Flav ended up in the back of a squad car on his way to jail where he was booked on misdemeanor battery and felony assault charges. He has since posted $23,000 bail and has been released, and is scheduled to appear in court next week. Read more at

Young Dro Slapped With Lien, Owes Over $45K In Back Taxes

It's time to add Young Dro to the list of rappers facing a pesky tax struggle. Months after the "Shoulder Lean" rapper's Maserati was repossessed, comes word that he owes the state of Georgia a serious chunk of change. According to TMZ, Dro, born D'Juan Hart, owes the state more than $45,000, for failing to pay his taxes back in 2007. In total, Dro is accused of not paying the state of Georgia $45,139.99. As a result, the Georgia Dept. of Revenue filed documents against him, to officially take the steps to recoup the funds. Always a professional Dro is focussed on his music, despite the news about his finances. He took to Twitter early Monday (Oct. 15) morning, to announce plans to drop new tracks depending on how much his followers increase. "I will be leaking new music every 1,000 followers that I receive RT#droback." Dro previously released the mixtape, Ralph Lauren Reefa, which came out in September. Rather than solely worrying about his online presence, the Georgia native may want to keep an eye on his money, and make a call to his accountant. Aside from the tax bill, he owes the leasing company that repoed his car, $61,220.37, raising his debt total to more than $100,000. Dr. Cornel West Encourages Jay-Z To Be Honest About His Stake In Brooklyn Nets

Dr. Cornel West speaks on how Jay-Z should be completely honest about how much of the team he actually owns. There's been some speculation that Jay-Z doesn't own as much of the Brooklyn Nets as he lets on, with some stating that he only holds a stake of one-fifteenth of one percent. Dr. Cornel West, who has been friends with Hov for some time, recently spoke on the "Jay-Z came from the Marcy projects, but look at him now. He owns the whole - no, he owns one-fifteenth of one percent of the whole stadium. Let's get it right, now," he said. "They got a Russian gangster who owns 80 percent." He said that Jay should be held accountable for how much he actually owns of the team and that he's only encouraging him to be honest "out of love." "Now I love Jay-Z, I've spent much time with the brother. He's a lyrical genius. But we've got to tell him the truth," he said. "Tell the truth, Jay-Z. You tell the truth on Reasonable Doubt in 1996, that's what he started out with. He's telling the truth, we love you negro. But we gon' make sure you're accountable too. All of us in this together, and I'm saying it out of love." Watch the video below (via JoyDailyTV). Cops Find Loads of Drugs & Firearm On Nelly's Tour Bus

Oh man, things just got real serious. Veteran rapper Nelly has just become the latest hip hop artist to be arrested with drugs and a gun on his tour bus. However, this situation is a little more serious than was the case with Lil Wayne years ago. According to various law enforcement sources, Nelly's tour bus was halted at a border patrol checkpoint in Sierra Blanca where a police canine was present and caught a whiff of the drugs inside of Nelly's tour bus. The police had Nelly and his associates vacate the vehicle so that they could conduct a search, and as a result police officials discovered TEN POUNDS of marijuana that was being held inside of a massive green duffel bag. To add to the stress, cops also found...get ready for it...36 small baggies of HEROIN (total of .64 ounces). Unfortunately for Nelly, that's still not all that the police found. On top of the 10 pounds of marijuana, and 36 baggies of heroin that they discovered, police also found a .45 caliber pistol on the bus, and...it was loaded. The charges that come with all of these illegal possessions are extremely severe, especially when you combine pounds of marijuana with many bags of heroin and a loaded firearm. Aside from Nelly, there were six other people on the tour bus. Luckily for Nelly, one of the passengers, a Brian Keith Jones, has stepped up to take the wrap and admitted that the drugs and gun were his. He has since been placed under arrest while the other members of the tour bus were let go. No phone calls have be returned from Nelly or his reps regarding the situation. This exact checkpoint is the same spot where many other celebrities have been arrested for drug-related violations, including Willie Nelson, Chace Crawford, Armie Hammer, Snoop Dogg, and Fiona Apple.

DEAR RAPPER, ABANDON THESE 8 MARKETING STRATEGIES

Every couple of years, the musical landscape undergoes seismic shifts. As the way people consume music changes, the way artists attempt to delivery it to them must adapt as well. Those transitions mean that marketing moves that once worked for disseminating material from new artists falls on the deaf ears of fans. Methods and means considered successful yesterday end up get ignored today because every artist has tapped into and bludgeoned the marketing strategies to the point of being ineffective. How do we know what we’re about to share is true? Well, we don’t know it’s 100% accurate. Call it our hypothesis built off countless hours sorting through the worst submissions ever crafted by man, trial and error from experience while consulting along with confirmation from a few artists willing to confirm they wasted a lot of money chasing their dream using the wrong means.

Problem #1: Setting release dates too far in advance So many things lead to the date never sticking anyway. The artwork’s late. The guest artist you were counting on didn’t mail in his verse. Your paycheck’s short and mastering can’t be completed on time. Whatever the case, the misfire only leads to a letdown and building mistrust with fans.

Problem #2: Printing an outrageous number of physical copies The overhead makes this almost illogical but even if you can get them dirt cheap are you really passing all of them out? Do you have the garage space to accommodate those extras Frisbees? Is a plastic slip-case with Kinko’s paper posing as artwork what we’re calling putting your best foot forward?

Problem #3: Paying for self-promotion Buying YouTube views, Twitter followers and Facebook likes is the new payola in 2012. Stop it. It’s transparent and it all comes crumbling down when you go to rock a show and only a small crowd turns up to support.

Problem #4: Paying to perform Any promoter that charges you to perform isn’t looking out for your best interests. The end.

Problem #5: Buying pre-packaged songs Remember a few years ago when T-Pain was selling songs that already had hooks and double-dipping on the process? Then every rapper in every major city had the same damn T-Pain song on his new mixtape. As fans we know when you actually collaborated with an artist and when you just bought a copy/paste job. If semi-famous rapper sells a beat that already has his verse on it you can bet he mailed it in and you’re paying for name recognition for an artist that doesn’t know who you are.

Problem #6: Paying For radio/DJ placements The radio isn’t what it used to be. While radio play is an important facet of your budding buzz, paying for a #1 spot at the local “Traffic Jam” isn’t the same sort of triumph that it was a decade ago. Now, more people are listening to iPods and music they find online so fewer ears are hearing your product. The same applies for placements with club DJs, especially if the record is mediocre. He’ll play the single…but only in your presence.

Problem #7: The weekly song release strategy “Wild Wednesday,” “Mp3 Monday,” and “Surprise Saturdays.” Just make them stop. Here’s a cold, hard fact: Crooked I was the be-all, end-all of the weekly freestyle drops. The man took the concept, pulverized it, poured lime on it and buried it next to Jimmy Hoffa. Quit searching for the magic chemistry that he created because nobody’s going to recreate it.

Problem #8: Stop paying for email blasts Not saying these don’t work but they seem to be the equivalent of shooting into a crowded club and ultimately ending up with collateral damage. They may hit something, but they’re ultimately just sloppy work. All that glitters is not gold and when an email blast service says they can “guarantee” they’ll get your song or video to “over 100K music industry professionals”…wait, just read that again.

K. Michelle Refuses to Open for Lyfe Jennings

Despite most of her fellow Love & Hip Hop cast members attending the BET Hip Hop Awards this weekend, K. Michelle decided to stay in Tampa for a show at the Straz Center. She was supposed to perform with Lyfe Jennings and Musiq Soulchild, but her placement in the lineup irked the singer. One fan who attended the show said, "I am angry at K. Michelle. She was scheduled to perform in my hometown Tampa, Florida along with Musiq Soulchild and Lyfe Jennings. In the promoters contract she was to perform before Lyfe, but in her mind she felt as though she's a "BIGGER" artist than him. So she threw a Diana Ross diva tantrum." K. Michelle did not end up performing and blocked "half of Tampa" on Twitter when they began angrily tweeting at her. Lyfe Jennings got on Twitter and responded to the situation, saying, "This @Kmichelle is so funny. She don't wanna go on before me???? Before Lyfe??? Its cool I wish u the best love... We kilt it!!!" K. Michelle had her own explanation for the incident, tweeting, "I've never missed a show a day in my life. I would never stand my fans up period. I was told no by the promoters, he didn't like my request." That tweet was unfortunately deleted.

Inmate Punches His Lawyer In The Face After Being Sentenced To 15 Years In Prison

A York County, South Carolina inmate earned himself more time in prison after punching his lawyer in the face while in court. Lamarcus Williamson, 30, had just been sentenced to 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to robbery, assault and drug charges. As he was being led away he suddenly turns toward his public defender and punches him in the face. “I was shocked, I didn’t see it coming. I hit the floor,” said attorney Dan Hall. Williamson was charged with criminal contempt and will get six more months added to his 15-year sentence.

Sam Hurd Faces Additional Drug Charges For Trying to Buy 5 Kilos of Cocaine While on Bail

I think it will be impossible to ever remove OJ Simpson as the dumbest criminal on the planet, but Sam Hurd is in the top 5. By now everyone knows that he was trying to be Nino Brown while a member of the Cowboys and Bears. When he got arrested he was granted bail and at this point any normal person would lay low and try to figure out the best way to get out of the situation. But not Hurd, he allegedly trying to broker a deal while on bail to be 5 kilos and 200 pounds of marijuana. It is astonishing to me that Hurd would think that the Feds wouldn’t be paying attention to his and his associates activities. This is why he is high on the dumbest criminal scale. Hurd’s associates similar to Michael Vick’s friends turned on him as soon as the were caught. They have all pleaded guilty and will testify against Hurd. According to CBS Sports Hurd was back in court on Wednesday to have the new drug charges added to his indictment.

Women Attempt To Smuggle Cocaine Inside Their Hair Weaves

Two women on their way from South America to New York City were caught attempting to smuggle cocaine inside a most unusual place: their hair weaves. According to The Smoking Gun, the would-be drug traffickers were acting a little peculiar after arriving at the John F. Kennedy International Airport, prompting authorities to engage the women in a bit of questioning. After the women became increasingly nervous — one suspect was reportedly close to passing out at one point — the suspects were given a pat-down. It was around this time that officials discovered a bulge beneath one woman’s hair weave, which she claimed was part of the attachment. However, when she was asked to remove the weave, the suspect explained that doing so would be difficult since there was a package sewn underneath. When authorities finally managed to remove the hair weaves in question, they encountered small packages of powered cocaine, The New York Post reports. Kiana Howell was allegedly carrying 996 grams of cocaine strapped to her scalp, while her cohort, Makeeba Graham, reportedly had 1.046 grams of the powered substance hanging out on top of her head. Howell stated that she had no idea what was contained in the packages strapped beneath her beehive hair weave. According to the suspect, her boyfriend just told her to bring the parcel to the United States. When he told her to hide the item beneath her weave, she apparently didn’t ask question. Not surprisingly, both women are now facing quite a bit of time behind bars. Although Makeeba Graham was released on $100,000 bond, companion and alleged drug trafficker Kiana Howell remained in police custody as of Thursday afternoon. Hair weaves are just one of the many creative ways people have attempted to smuggle drugs around the world. The Metro reports that other schemes involved a man wearing a cast made of cocaine, dead cats filled with narcotics, and a date rape drug hidden inside vials of holy water.
