Young Guru, Jay-Z's Main Engineer, Has Had Bag and Computer Stolen

Young Guru is well-known in the hip-hop industry for his award-winning work as the engineer for Jay-Z and many others. He has also established himself as a DJ, known for playing exclusive material during his sets, and for being a teacher.
Tonight, he has tweeted that during his current trip to Washington D.C., his bag was stolen out of the car he was in. The bag appears to have contained Guru's most prized possession, his computer. The engineer is desperately looking to get this laptop back, regardless of what condition it may be in.
At this point, it is unclear what the contents of this computer are. While it is likely that Guru keeps most of his engineering sessions and unreleased material on a separate hard drive or possibly another computer, Guru told us last year that he is the one whom Hov entrusts with all of his music. As Guru put it, "If it leaks, it’s on me." It remains to be seen what will happen as a result of this computer getting in the hands of someone else.
This is clearly a developing story. More updates to come.

Police Arrest Florida Woman, 22, For Violently Yanking Penis Of Ex-Boyfriend

Meet Laquavia Sharelle Wallace.
The 22-year-old Floridian was arrested yesterday for domestic battery after she grabbed and yanked on her former boyfriend’s penis during a dispute inside the victim’s Tampa residence.
Wallace, pictured at right, had gone to the home of Antonio Marquis Williams to pick up the ex-couple’s daughter, according to a Manatee County Sheriff’s Office report.
Williams told deputies that the pair argued because Wallace wanted to resume dating. However, “Antonio did not want another relationship at this time,” investigators noted.
The argument then turned violent “when the offender grabbed Antonio’s penis with her right hand and began pulling on it which caused pain to Antonio.” Williams defended himself by grabbing Wallace’s forearms “to prevent further violence.”
The sheriff’s report does not detail what, if any, clothing Williams was wearing when Wallace allegedly accessed his genitals.
Though Williams refused to file charges, Wallace was nonetheless arrested for misdemeanor battery and booked into the Manatee County jail (where bail has yet to be set). She is scheduled for a May 21 court appearance.

Woman Caught On Tape Throwing Her Baby On Bus Denies Incident…”I Didn't Toss My Baby. I Set Her Down!”

Remember that ain't isht mother who was caught on tape throwing her baby in a bus fight in Connecticut?? Well apparently she is denying it happened (even after we all saw her do it)… Via NBC News: A mother caught on cell phone video apparently throwing her baby across the aisle of a bus, prompting a police investigation, says she didn’t do it. “I didn’t toss my baby. I set her down,” said the woman when NBC Connecticut confronted her at her Hartford home. The startling scene was caught on tape by a concerned passenger during a bus ride on Albany Avenue Wednesday morning. It’s since gone viral with internet postings on YouTube, Facebook, and elsewhere. The two minute video shows a woman screaming obscenities at another passenger, as her baby sits on her lap at times holding her little ears. The woman repeatedly asks other passengers to take her child so she can fight the woman. “I will thrash you. Somebody grab my baby. I’m going to beat the… of you on this bus,” she’s heard saying in the video. Then, it gets worse. The woman is seen throwing the baby across the aisle into the arms of another passenger. Then, she heads up front and gets into a fist fight. When NBC Connecticut arrived at her home Friday night, police and child welfare workers were inside talking to her. After they left, we knocked on the door and the woman answered. When asked if she had any comment on the situation, the woman said, “No. Connecticut Transit, get the full video. I didn’t toss my baby. Get the full video.” She then closed the door, only to open it once again. “I never tossed my baby,” she said. “Get the full video from Connecticut Transit. I didn’t toss my baby. I set her down.” The video was so shocking that an NBC Connecticut viewer brought it to our attention. We asked Hartford police if they knew about it, and they launched an investigation. Hartford police have not filed any charges in the case. As part of their ongoing investigation, they’re reviewing a second cell phone video from a different angle. The camera on board the bus was not working at the time of the incident, so there is no surveillance video available from CT Transit.

Homeless Guy Lights Man On Fire For Not Giving Him Any Change

Police in Long Beach, CA arrested a homeless man at a 7 Eleven recently, after he doused an unsuspecting customer with flammable substance and lit him on fire.
The 63-year-old victim refused to give the panhandler money before walking into the store, and when he came out, the enraged homeless man was waiting for him. The victim climbed into his SUV and was immediately sprayed with a flammable liquid. After only a few seconds, the man was engulfed in flames.
"With the door open you could see the entire insides were ablaze," said one eyewitness. "He came out and he was horrifying. His entire shirt was on fire, his head was on fire."
Police said it was a random act of violence, and that the two men had no relation. The homeless man was charged with arson and attempted murder.

Bearded woman says facial hair makes her feel sexy

A German woman who struggled with facial hair for nearly two decades said she finally feels sexy, now that she’s ditched the clippers and let her beard grow.
“I feel more confident and I know myself better now than when I was younger,” the 49-year-old mom, identified only as Mariam, told the British talk show, “This Morning.”
Mariam explained to hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield she began growing facial hair 28 years ago, after the birth of her son.
Extra hormones produced during pregnancy can trigger hair growth.
She tried electrolysis three times, but the hair always grew back.

After years of using tweezers to disguise the growing goatee, Mariam gave up in August 2008.
“It was more curiosity, like what will happen with me if I let it grow,” she said. “Like how it will make me feel.”
Now Mariam only trims her beard for maintenance. She’s the “Bearded Lady” in a traveling circus and writes about her experiences on a blog.
Despite some nasty comments and criticism — even Mariam’s own mother questioned her decision to keep the beard— she discovered a newfound confidence.
After being single for a decade, she’s also looking for love.
“I think I’m more ready to have a relationship,” Mariam said.

Flavor Flav To Stand Trial On Pair Of Felony Charges

Public Enemy and reality TV's Flavor Flav will stand trial on two felony charges.
USAToday.com reports that a Las Vegas, Nevada judge found that there was enough evidence that the legendary hype-man threatened his girlfriend's 17-year-old son with a butcher knife for Flav to stand trial.
An arraignment is scheduled for April 18 on felony charges of assault with a weapon and child endangerment.
The report indicates that Flav is expected to plead no guilty.
If convicted, Flavor Flav faces up to 12 years in prison.
Flav reportedly got into an argument with his fiancee and her son in his home. He was later released on $23,000 bail.

The White House Responds To Jay-Z's "Open Letter," Says Lyrics Are Untrue

The White House wasn't going to let Jay-Z rap about a conversation with the president without giving a response. Hov name drops President Obama on his new track "Open Letter," claiming that he spoke with the commander in chief about going to Cuba.
On the verse, the Roc Nation executive raps about turning "Havana to Atlanta," and getting White  House clearance to do so, before mentioning the president: "Obama said  chill you gonna get me impeached/ We don't need this sh-t anyway. Chill with me on the beach."
Apparently, that conversation never really happened.
Responding to a question from a journalist (who hilariously read the lyrics in slow motion) White House Press Secretary Jay Carney discredited Jay's line. "I guess nothing rhymes with 'treasury,'" he said, referencing news that the U.S. Treasury licensed the Cuba trip on grounds that it was a "cultural" excursion.
Most Americans are not allowed in the country due to a longstanding travel embargo, which is why The Carter's vacation-- to celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary-- was met with opposition. "Treasury offers and gives license for travel as you know," Carney continued. " The White House has nothing to do with it."
Asked once more if the POTUS played a role in the couple's Cuba trip, Carney reiterated his stance. "I am absolutely saying that the White House, from the president on down, has nothing to do with anybody's travel to Cuba."
Jay dropped the new track just as the backlash behind the trip was dying down. Republican Senator Marco Rubio has called for Obama to further explain Jay & Bey's Cuban trek, but based on Carney's reiteration that the president has no say in said trips, he'll probably never get a response.

Rick Ross Dropped By Reebok Over Controversial Lyrics

(AllHipHop News) Reebok has officially ended it’s partnership with Maybach Music mogul Rick Ross. The sneaker company first felt the heat calling for them to cut off Ross after the release of his latest song U.O.N.E.O depicted the rapper performing date rape on a woman: “Put Molly [Ecstasy] all in the champagne.  She ain’t even know it.  I took her home and I enjoy that.  She ain’t even know it.”
Since the song dropped the rapper has attempted to backtrack on his lyrics, Meek Mill has spoken up in his defense and a recent concert Ross was set to perform at was cancelled in response to protestors.
UltraViolet co-founder Nita Chaudhary released a statement through the women’s organization applauding Reebok for the decision.
She said, “We are thrilled to hear that Reebok is joining the fight against rape culture and dropping Rick Ross. This is a huge victory for women, for the 526 survivors of rape who were brave enough to publicly confront rape culture, and for the nearly 100,000 UltraViolet members who have poured their hearts and time into this campaign. This sends a strong message that rapping about drugging and raping an unconscious woman is not only morally wrong, but has real consequences. After Steubenville, Americans expect and demand better. Thank you Reebok for taking a stand.”
After strong grassroots protest, UltraViolet members banned together in mass and seemingly pushed Reebok to take action.
No word from Ross’ camp on how he is taking the news.

Rick Ross' faint apology for lyrics hits sour note

New York (CNN) -- Hip-hop artist Rick Ross apologized --sort of -- twice on Thursday for song lyrics that seem to allude to date rape, but many weren't buying it.
Ross has been taking heat since the song "U.O.E.N.O" was released in February. On Thursday, scores of protesters picketed outside a Reebok store in Manhattan and delivered a petition demanding the sportswear manufacturer drop Ross as a celebrity endorser.
In the song Ross raps: "Put molly all in her champagne, she ain't even know it. I took her home and I enjoyed that, she ain't even know it."
"Molly" is a slang term for a powerful form of the psychoactive drug MDMA, commonly called ecstasy.

"We are asking Reebok to drop their endorsement deal with Rick Ross," said Shawna Thompson, a spokeswoman for UltraViolet, a women's rights group that led Thursday's protest. "The reason we are asking them to do is because Rick Ross recently rapped, bragging essentially, about drugging and raping women. We see this as an opportunity to elevate the fact that it's not OK to do that, and he shouldn't benefit from endorsement deals when he has rap lyrics like that."
Ross said Thursday on his Twitter account: "I dont condone rape. Apologies for the #lyric interpreted as rape. #BOSS"
Much of the Twittersphere reacted negatively.
@RadicalONFIRE wrote: "RICK ROSS needs to work on the sincerity of his apologies...just saying."
@AprilLeighTree: "Once again a mega-gross rapper promotes rape culture. @Reebok spokesperson & lowlife Rick Ross should be fired! #NotBuyingIt"
@lovetricialee: "Rick Ross is simply another expanse of how much further we have to go. Truly pathetic."
@weakforcouture: "I hate rick ross. He's an idiot who's trying to backpeddle out of a scandal he brought upon himself"
Two hours later Ross tried again: "Apologies to my many business partners, who would never promote violence against women. @ReebokClassics @ultraviolet"
That one didn't go over particularly well, either. Professor/author/activist Marc Lamont Hill tweeted: "The fact that @rickyrozay apologized clearly to @reebok after offering an 'i'm sorry y'all misunderstood and got mad at me' says everything."
Tweets supporting Ross are out there too, but most of them are promoting his video "Don't Kill My Vibe (Freestyle)," which was released Thursday.

Woman arrested for Instagramming

20-year-old artist Jennifer Pawluck was arrested Wednesday morning at 10:30am after posting a picture of anti-police street art on her Instagram feed a few days before.
“Many of my friends do not like the police,” Pawluck told the Huffington Post Québec in French. “I thought it would be funny to put the picture on Instagram. I do not even know who he is, Ian Lafrenière.”
Pawluck took the photo in the Hochelaga-Maisonneuve neighbourhood of Montreal, where she lives, and police arrived early yesterday with a warrant accusing her of uttering threats to the Montreal police spokesperson Ian Lafrenière.
The photo in question depicts a hand-drawn image of Ian Lafrenière with a gunshot wound to the head flanked by the words “Ian Lafrenière” and “ACAB” — a popular graffiti acronym that stands for “all cop[per]s are bastards.”
According to what she told the Huffington Post, Pawluck was brought to the police station and detained for nearly four hours. The arrest warrant alleges that Pawluck acted with intent to harass Lafreniere and gave him reason to fear for his safety.
Last night, La Presse newspaper reported that a police spokesperson made the following statement: “What I can say is that a person has been arrested this morning in connection with threats on the internet. This person was met by investigators.”
Hyperallergic reached out to Pawluck via Facebook to ask about the incident. She indicated that she has not closed her Instagram account and was not asked to remove the controversial image. She also does not know who made the original street art work.
Asked if she will hesitate next time before taking a photo and sharing it on social media, Pawluck replied, “I don’t think so. I mean, art is art. I don’t have a evil mind when I posted a photo like this.”
Asked why she thinks the Montreal police targeted her, she replied, “I don’t think that, it’s just ridiculous. A ridiculous story about a photo on my Instagram.”
Her trial date is set for April 17, but until then Pawluck must not come within one kilometre (~1,000 yards) of police headquarters or Lafrenière’s home.
The incident is sure to cause concern for social media users across the continent. This incident comes on the heels of a report last week by DNAinfo that explained that the New York Police Department is using Facebook and Instagram photos to track criminals

Pennsylvania Cop Accepts Bl0wjob from Prostitute Before Busting Her for Prostitution

The attorney for a Pennsylvania woman who has been charged with prostitution is wondering if it was right for the undercover cop who busted her to have accepted a blowjob from his client prior to informing her that she was under arrest for prostitution.

Homestead police officer Ronald Depellegrin, 48, asked for and received permission to conduct a sting operation on 26-year-old Diana Gross after he spotted an ad for her escort services on Backpage.com (where she goes by "Beckie Dymon").

According to DePellegrin's own report, the two arranged to meet up at Gross's apartment for a half-hour session.

DePellegrin picked up some baby wipes and condoms at Gross's request and arrived
shortly thereafter at her residence on Sarah Street.

After exchanging pleasantries — namely, each in turn asking if the other was a cop — Gross removed her shirt and asked DePellegrin to touch her breasts.

As he was complying, Gross reached down and grabbed DePellegrin's groin before getting "totally undressed" and telling DePellegrin to do the same.

"Beckie took a condom and placed it on me," DePellegrin wrote in his report. "Beckie started to perform oral sex on me when I said oh sh-t the cops are coming. Beckie stopped performing the act and looked out the
window."

It was then that DePellegrin put his clothes back on and finally revealed to Gross that he was a detective.

Gross was subsequently taken into custody along with syringes, "paraphernalia for the ingestion of heroin," and an unspecified amount of
money found hidden in her apartment.

Michael Waltman, Gross's
lawyer, said DePellegrin's conduct could warrant a civil rights lawsuit.

But both the Homestead chief of police and District Attorney Stephen Zappala think DePellegrin did nothing wrong and said there were no plans to suspend him.

Back in 2010, following a similar incident, Zappala warned police officers who "engage in a sexual act" as part of a prostitution investigation that "this may constitute outrageous government conduct."

Waltman isn't giving up just yet, telling WPXI he is "willing to take the case to the federal level."

"One of the key issues," he told the Post-Gazette, "is that the police in this particular instance are engaging in the exact type of criminal activity that they're saying that they're trying to protect the community from."

Wesley Snipes released from prison

(CNN) -- Actor Wesley Snipes has been released from a federal prison where he was serving a three-year sentence after being convicted on tax charges in February 2010.
The release to a supervised residential location in New York occurred Tuesday, the Federal Bureau of Prisons told CNN.
Snipes, 50, who starred in the "Blade" action movies and "White Men Can't Jump," had been serving time at a federal prison in Pennsylvania. A jury convicted him of willfully failing to file tax returns for 1999, 2000 and 2001. Snipes was acquitted of felony tax fraud and conspiracy charges.
In June 2011, the U.S. Supreme Court refused to hear an appeal of his sentence, which he had argued was too harsh for a misdemeanor conviction.

Texas Student Suspended For Writing "YOLO" On Exam & Tweeting It Out

Apparently, "YOLO" is still a thing. The acronym for a You Only Live Once got a Texas high school student suspended when he wrote it on an exam and tweeted the evidence to friends and school administrators.
WFAA reports:
Kyron Birdine, a junior at Arlington High School, came home with a lesson he won't soon forget: Don't mess with the STAAR test.
"I was being a high school kid getting on Twitter," he explained.
Using an iPod, he tweeted a photo of the word YOLO ("you only live once") and a smiley face scribbled on the essay portion of the exam, along with this declaration: "I have the TAKS test to study for, not this unneeded craziness."
He sent it to Arlington ISD and the Texas Education Agency.
The junior, who nearly has a 3.0 grade point average and a high score on the PSAT, will be graduating under TAKS testing standards, not STAAR.
It turns out that Texas students are required to take both the TAKS test and the STAAR  exam, despite the former not counting towards graduation requirement, thus Birdine's feelings. Officials were paying attention to his "protest" because Birdine was reportedly pulled from class and his mother was called. The teen was hit with a four-day suspension from school and was forced to delete the tweet.
Birdine's mom think the punishment was excessive and the kid still thinks taking the STAAR exam is a farce, but he's learned his lesson.  "Don't do it," is what he says to any student thinking of copying his actions. Besides, he surely doesn't want Drake asking for a check.
Check out the offending photo of the marked up exam page and of Bridine on the next pages.

Busta Rhymes Reportedly Flipped Out At A Burger Joint In Miami

The Miami New Times is reporting that early this morning Busta Rhymes walked into Cheeseburger Baby in South Beach Miami and acted a damn fool.

According to the stores owner, Stephanie Vitori, Busta strolled in around 6 A.M. and demanded to cut the line. When they refused to let him, he got pissed and opted to wait for his food in his car.

When they finally delivered his food, he came back into the resturant, upset that they put his salt, pepper, ketchup, and mayo on the side (which is how they do it over there). Busta then flipped out and called one employee a "fag" and Vitori a "bi-ch."

Busta only left the restaurant after Vitori called the cops, but he still proceeded to call the store and tell them that they forgot to put cheese on his burger (they deny this) and threaten to "come get [them]."

Yikes.

Damn, guess he really wanted that cheeseburger.
