Whitney Houston dead??
Just announced on Sky News from a statement by her publicist, Kristen Foster
Doctors visited Whitney late last night in Paris and confirmed that she was suffering from an upper respiratory infection.
Best known for her 1992 hit 'I Will Always Love You,' the singer had been working to get her career back on track in the wake of drug problems, but has been dogged by ill-health.

Suge Knight Busted With Weed In Las Vegas

Former Death Row CEO Marion “Suge” Knight was arrested in Las Vegas yesterday (February 8).
The rap mogul was riding in his black Bentley when he made an unsafe lane change, TMZ.com reports.
The police searched the luxury vehicle around 5:30PM and found out he was carrying a small amount of marijuana.
He was released from a local jail where he was processed.
The arrest could lead to more problems for Suge, who is currently on three years unsupervised probation, after he was caught driving with a suspended license in December of 2010.

Eighth Grader Sells Marijuana Brownies at School
An eighth grader at a Queens intermediate school was suspended after selling brownies laced with marijuana at his Bellerose school.
The student was selling the brownies out her book bag for $3 each. Another student reported her to school officials on Monday.
20 students purchased the brownies from the girl at Intermediate School 208. Its estimated that she made $250 from the brownies.
“They slipped my son a mickey,” said one mother to the Daily News. “How come nobody noticed these kids were high?”
Her son allegedly didn’t know the brownies were laced and panicked when he started to feel the effects.
“This was a troubling incident, and as soon as the school learned about it they reported it to us and reached out to the parents of the student involved,” said Margie Feinberg, spokeswoman for the Department of Education.
School officials plan on bringing a counselor to speak to the children about substance abuse.
MAN TRIES TO ROB A BANK WITH 2 McDONALDS APPLE PIES!
A California man is behind bars after trying to rob a pile of dough from a Sacramento bank using two apple pies wrapped in a McDonald's bag, cops said.
Daniel Hegwood, 33, entered a downtown Wells Fargo over the weekend, told a teller he had a dangerous bomb inside the fast food bag and demanded money, police said.
He then fled on foot with a “substantial” amount of cash, leaving the bag behind, police said.
"When he left, bank security followed him and gave us updates, so we were able to find him as he entered a nearby parking garage, take him into custody and ultimately determine that his paper bag contained apple pies and not a bomb," Officer Laura Peck of the Sacramento Police Department told the Daily News.
Police said Hegwood tried to resist his arrest, saying he had another bomb in his backpack.
Bomb technicians were called and determined neither the backpack nor the bag contained explosives, police said.
"Certainly in this day and age you have to take every threat seriously, but with hindsight, knowing the bag contained apple pies, it gives us insight into the lack of sophistication in his methods. Clearly he's not that good at bank robbery," Peck said.
Hegwood was arrested for robbery, resisting arrest and other charges and is being held without bail because he also violated his parole for a previous unspecified crime.

Diddy Sends Out Warning: Watermelon Ciroc is FAKE!
Diddy is always thinking of new flavors of to add to the Ciroc collection, seeing how well the coconut, peach and red berry have done, but he warns that a watermelon flavor floating around is fake.
The success of the peach flavor has spawned new scams on the black market, with underhanded people passing the flavored liquor off as an official Ciroc flavor. However, the fake vodka can be harmful to consumer's health, as improperly filtered vodka can be fatal.

Soul Train's Don Cornelius Found Dead at 75
Don Cornelius -- who famously created "Soul Train" was found dead in his Sherman Oaks, CA home this morning ... and law enforcement sources tell us it appears he committed suicide.
We're told cops discovered the body at around 4 AM PT. Law enforcement sources tell us ... Cornelius died from a gunshot wound to the head and officials believe the wound was self-inflicted.
We're told Cornelius was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
"Soul Train" changed the landscape of television when it debuted in 1971 and ran until 2006.
Officials have notified Don's family.
Cornelius was 75.
During Don's bitter divorce proceedings in 2009, he told an L.A. judge he was suffering from "significant health issues" and wanted to "finalize this divorce before I die."
The divorce was granted later that year.

Allen Iverson Bank Account Garnished Until He Pays Jewelry Debt
Allen Iverson‘s bank account has been commandeered by a Georgia judge … who’s garnishing the former NBA star’s earnings so A.I. can repay a 6-figure debt to his flashy GA jeweler.
According to court papers obtained by TMZ … Iverson was sued back in 2010 for allegedly stiffing Aydin & Company Jewelers on a $375,000 bill.
The records show … A.I. never responded to the lawsuit … so a default judgement was issued in favor of the jewelry store … allowing A&C to collect $859,896.46 for the bling, court costs, interest and attorneys fees.

Cory Gunz Arrested With Gun

Bronx, New York rapper Cory Gunz was arrested yesterday (January 28), after police found him in possession of a loaded handgun.
Police caught the rapper with a loaded, unregistered Taurus .9mm handgun.
Cory Gunz, born Peter Pankey Jr., is currently in custody in the Bronx.
His father, rapper Peter Gunz, told MTV News that his son was the victim of an illegal search.
“It was definitely an illegal search,” Peter Gunz told MTV News.
Peter Gunz further elaborated on his 24-year-old son’s arrest.
The rapper was exiting a cab when plain clothes officers aggressively approached him.
“He just got out of a cab and police ran up on him and they were in plainclothes,” Peter Gunz told the New York Daily News. “He didn’t know they were cops – he thought he was getting robbed.”
Peter Gunz said his son was currently in Central Booking, where he is being processed.
Although its his first offense, Corey’s father is worried that New York’s strict anti-gun laws will have an adverse affect on his son’s career.
The same laws sent Lil Wayne, the CEO of Young Money, Cory’s label, to jail for eight months in 2010.
“At the end of the day, there’s a reason for everything, but at the same time, in New York, it’s mandatory jail time,” Peter Gunz told MTV News. “To go to a precinct and see your son, your junior, in handcuffs, it’s heartbreaking. Anytime you see your child in jail, in the cell, in handcuffs, it’s very hard.”
Even though its his first offense, Cory Gunz faces a minimum mandatory sentence of 3 and 1/2 years in prison.
Chicago man arrested for kicking kitten, signaled field goal after kick
Just when you thought you had heard it all, this story about a Chicago-area man getting busted for kicking a kitten happens.
Back on Monday, police arrested a man for animal cruelty on the South Side of Chicago after watching him kick a kitten (not pictured) nearly fifteen feet.
After his kick, he decided to do a made field-goal signal in some sort of celebration:
The officers immediately arrested a laughing Percy Love, 22, after he allegedly kicked the small black cat Monday afternoon in the 6200 block of South Campbell, police said.
He told officers: “This is my cat, Nightmare. He is tough, we play like that all the time. It’s just a cat,” police said.

Why is rap a loser at the Grammys
Since its beginnings in the 1970s, rap music has transformed from an underground, street-based sound to a definitive part of pop culture, transcending race and becoming one of the strongest and most prolific voices of today's generation. But at the Grammy Awards, rap has had a long-lasting losing streak in the top categories.
The hip-hop sound first recognized at the 1989 Grammys has garnered numerous prestigious nominations over the years, and for 10 of the last 14 years, rap acts have either led or tied for most Grammy nominations. But rarely will a hip-hop act win one of the show's top four honors- album, song and record of the year, along with best new artist. Instead, rap acts tend to win rap awards.
50 Cent, who won his first and only Grammy two years ago, believes Grammy voters are out-of-touch and need a fresh outlook on what's going on in contemporary music. "I think that the board is a lot older and they're conservative, so some of the content in the music is offensive on some level," said 50 Cent, who famously interrupted Evanescence's best new artist speech by walking onstage when he lost to the rock group in 2004. "There's a lot of people that don't accept that hip-hop culture is now pop culture."
This year, hip-hop leads the Grammys in nominations again, with Kanye West earning seven; it's his third year as the show's top-nominated act, and his fourth overall (he tied Mariah Carey and John Legend for most nominations at the 2006 Grammys). While his song All Of The Lights is up for song of the year, his critically revered fifth album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, didn't score an album of the year nomination, a shock to many. Even Jimmy Jam the chair emeritus of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences was surprised by West's snub.
"I think he's one of the genius artists, and I'm saying this as a person who's worked with Michael Jackson and Prince, so I don't throw that word around lightly," Jam said. "So, yes, I was surprised."
West's album with Jay-Z, Watch The Throne," was also left out of the top album category; both CDs are nominated for best rap album.
Jay-Z, who once boycotted the Grammys because of the show's lack of love for hip-hop, says Grammy nominations are "cool," but he doesn't use the accolades as a barometer of his success.
"The Grammys and all of those other things, they're fine and it's a good way for everyone to get together amongst their peers and collect some trophies at the end of the night, but my whole thing is for the people, as long as the people accept it that's my real Grammy," Jay-Z said. "As long as it connects with an audience in a way."
But Steve Stoute, the former record executive who accused the Grammys of being irrelevant last year in a full-page advertisement in The New York Times after Eminem and Justin Bieber lost top awards, says there is a bigger problem. Stoute believes The Recording Academy doesn't have board members who understand hip-hop as a true art form.
"If (The Recording Academy) understood that, then (rappers) would be scoring technical points," he said. "They don't get the technical points."
In Grammy history, 14 hip-hop albums have received nominations for album of the year. Lauryn Hill has the distinction of being the first hip-hop artist to win album of the year for The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill in 1999, but the album, while featuring rap, was heavy on R&B. Hill also won best new artist that year, the second time a rap-based act had done so following Arrested Development's win in 1993. A rapper hasn't won the award since.
OutKast, the alternative, genre-bending hip-hop duo, followed in Hill's footsteps with an album of the year win in 2004 for the double disc Speakerboxxx/The Love Below. It, too, was not strictly hip-hop, as Andre 3000 blended rock and even jazz for his half of the project.
But while there have been high-profile wins, what stands out more are the losses. No rapper has ever won record or song of the year, and both Eminem and West, each nominated three times, have failed to win the album of the year trophy in years where they appeared to be critical favourites.
At last year's Grammys, three of the five songs nominated for record of the year were rap smashes. Lady Antebellum's crossover hit, Need You Now, ended up taking away the record and song of the year honors.
Ahmir Questlove Thompson, the leader and drummer of the Roots, says the hip-hop community shares some of the blame for its losing streak. He says those in the genre aren't involved enough with The Recording Academy, its community and its events.
"We're not active members of (The Recording Academy) and I promise to take a more active role in that," said Questlove, who has won three Grammys. "I should definitely come and be more involved in that. It's taxing time-wise, but you know, I can either sit and complain ... or do something about it."
Jam says rap's losses are also a reflection of the Grammy membership, which he said is "traditionally very heavy" with members of the country, jazz and classical music worlds.
"We're a membership organization and the members vote. So, if the numbers of members who consider themselves of the hip-hop genre ... if those numbers are lower, then the results probably point to that fact," Jam said.
But Stoute, who is the author of The Tanning of America: How Hip-Hop Created a Culture That Rewrote the Rules of the New Economy, had harsh words for Jam, a founding member of funk-soul band The Time and best known for producing multiple hits for Janet Jackson, Usher, Boyz II Men and more with partner Terry Lewis. Stoute and Jam had a conversation after last year's awards, and Stoute was upset that Jay-Z's Empire State Of Mind wasn't up for song of the year: At the Grammys, a track is not eligible for that award if it contains a sample or if it's not an original piece of work; that disqualifies much of rap, which relies heavily on sampling (Empire State Of Mind samples The Moments' Love On A Two-Way Street).
Stoute said Jam should be helping hip-hop, and blasted the renowned producer.
"What he's doing is not right," Stoute said of Jam. "And if he's supposed to be the guy who understands urban music because of his famed career as a producer ... (and) if he's not going to be sensitive to the creativity around hip-hop, I am sorry, we're in trouble."
Jam, who was The Recording Academy's chairman from 2005 to 2009, says his goal was to diversify the Grammy community, and if people have an issue with traditional Grammy rules, they should demand a change.
"You can write a proposal," Jam said. "I hope ... people step up to the challenge rather than dismiss it, which is the easy thing to do.'"
Jam also said he helped bring forth the best rap song award at the 2004 Grammys, which honors rap tracks that contain samples. Jam also implemented a new rule in 2009 that allowed anyone nominated for a Grammy to bypass the regular application process and automatically be made a member for a year. He said he did it so that nominated acts would easily be involved in the organization the following year.
"If hip-hop is the most nominated, then they should be the best represented according to what I did," Jam said.
FEAR FACTOR WANTS CONTESTANTS TO DRINK DONKEY SEMEN & CHASE IT WITH URINE?!
“Fear Factor’s” latest stunt — serving contestants glasses of donkey semen, with a chaser of urine — had NBC executives living in terror, TMZ.com reported.
Sources close to the production told the gossip site that the network had several meetings over whether or not to include the tasteless taste test in the episode airing Monday. Ultimately, the challenge was allowed to run.
Contestants were apparently required to drink every last drop from both glasses to advance.
The show’s host Joe Rogan had warned the Daily News just before “Fear Factor” returned to the air last month that contestants were in for some stomach turning moments
“I say, in the real world, in a healthy society, you’re not supposed to eat animal d - - k, but guess what, here you have to eat animal d - - k if you want to win $50,000,” Rogan told the News.
At the time, it seemed that Rogan was being metaphorical.
Mother and son rob Liberty Tax with curling iron
TOLEDO, OH (WTOL) – Toledo Police are searching for a woman they say, along with her son, robbed the Liberty Tax store on Monroe Street in Central Toledo.
Sonia Watson and her son walked into the store around 7 p.m. on Thursday and waited in line before presenting a curling iron wrapped in a bath towel, police say. A Liberty Tax employee thought the iron was a gun, and handed over about $300 in cash.
This was not Watson's first trip to this Liberty Tax location, though. Police say she was there a few days before to have her taxes done. Employees recognized her, and had her personal information on file from earlier in the week.
"It was a total shock that somebody who actually had been a customer, where we have every piece of their information, their private information, would come in and attempt something like that," said George Hack, manager of the Liberty Tax location.
When an employee realized the suspects did not have a gun, witnesses say she fought back with a plastic soda bottle, and a customer threw a chair at the suspects.
Watson and her son fled on foot, and were pursued by a Liberty Tax employee standing outside the store dressed as the Statue of Liberty. The employee was unable to catch the suspects.
