As previously reported, Taylor was officially charged with rape in June for having sex with a 16-year-old prostitute in a New York hotel room.
Taylor's lawyer is now seeking to suppress any statements the ex-baller made when he was arrested and rule out evidence collected because police did not have a warrant at the time of his arrest.
According to the Associated Press, Taylor's defense attorney Arthur Aidala filed a motion that says his client's rights were violated.
It says Taylor was “alone, sleeping in his hotel room” when police entered without a warrant and without his permission.
